Entry criteria and style notes

• All entries must be the result of entrants’ own research, using primary sources, and secondary sources where appropriate. It must not have been published before. The work must be fully referenced (end notes) and include a bibliography.

• It must be judged to be a contribution to the growing body of knowledge of Suffolk history and suitable for publication in the Suffolk Review.

• Entries will be accepted from individuals or small group collaborations.

• Entries should consist of around 5,000 words and can include relevant tables, graphs, illustrations, pictures, etc. Applicants must seek copyright permission where necessary.

• Page set up: size A4, all margins at 2.54cm. Font should be Ariel, 11 point for the main text and 10 point for endnotes. No indents in paragraphs, one space after full stops. 1.15 line spacing, blank line between paragraphs at same spacing. Book titles, etc, in italics. No underlining. Numbers one to nine are spelled out and 10 onwards are in figures, except they are spelled out as the first words of a sentence.
