Focus on Mildenhall Saturday 29th September 2018

A few pictures of the SLHC visit to Mildenhall on 29th September organised by Mildenhall & District Museum. We started with tea and coffee at Rocca Cafe Lounge followed by a walk to St Mary’s Church where we were entertained by another tour de force from the Rev’d Tony Redman. He outlined the way the church was used over the past 1000 years and then told us about the building itself. The party then split in two with half the group taken on a guided tour of Mildenhall showing us the notable sites and buildings of the town and the rest going to Mildenhall Museum to find out more about Mildenhall and its history. Our final destination for the day was Thetford Warren Lodge again in the company of a local guide.

I think I can safely say we had an extremely interesting and varied day – and the weather was pretty good as well!
